Had to ding you a point for pacing as you've squeezed an extra syllable into a couple of lines - very good - and true - though, made me smile.
Pacing get's off herer and there. I like the concept, but it's too repitious (I know the original is to, that's why I dislike it) i'd change it up a bit make it more original. Just me though. Not bad
Jan, Nice job. Couldn't go "5" across 'cause had to knock a point off the pace. Although Johnny and (and Guy, also) I have discussed pacing choices and reader perception on more than a few occasions I would have shortened "It's a big payday loan now" to "A big payday loan now". To me that fits perfectly, particularly the Tiffany version. Of course to you it might change a precise thought or meaning you were trying to pass along. Hadn't looked at any of your stuff before but I saw the recommends from the above folks and I know the original version(s) (tommy james as well as Tiffany) pretty well. I''m going to take a minute and see if I know any of the originals of your other postings enough to weigh in on them.
Good song. Where I live, there is a place called Mission Financial that can loan you up to $1000 before your next paycheck if you have had a job and a checking account for a minimum of three months. They do no credit check, but you have to be careful about borrowing them or you'll have a big problem - the day you get your paycheck, you have to surrender it to them and you have no money left on pay day! (For interest, they charge $1 for every $100 borrowed per day, minimum of 15 days.)
