Those human ears
On that breed of mice
Are from DNA we uncurled

The word we hear's
Not from Genesis
It's just human hubris from nerds

So take a look
At the freaks that we cook
With bio-tech machines

And come what may
At the break of each day

We all play God with genes
Once more
We all play God with genes

Maybe
Maybe
Maybe
Our experiments
Will finally create life tonight

No lovers here are needed
For the risks we take
As high-tech science creates life tonight

We've lost our way
Gone completely astray
Like Victor Frankenstein

But still
We're totally obsessed
With taking that last step
To make science create life tonight

( instrumental )

These goat-like horns
On this creature's head
Are the latest feat we've achieved

Its spade-like tail
And its bat-like wings
Give it powers few can believe

And with a grin
That creature said we'd win
A Nobel Prize of gold

If we would just
Satisfy its dark lust

With something called a "soul"
- what's that? -
With something called a "soul"

Maybe
Maybe
Maybe
There's still time to save
The sanctity of life tonight

True love is all that's needed
And humility
To save the sanctity of life tonight

We've lost our way
Gone completely astray
Like Victor Frankenstein

But if we choose to
We can step back
Quickly from the brink
Save the sanctity of life tonight

I didn't quite have the heart to give this 5s for humour, but it's a great parody.

Thanks, Phil. With serious parodies like this some people change "How Funny" to mean "How Profound" or something similar, to represent richness of emotional impact. But that's a personal choice, and I fully respect yours - thanks again!

Great, Johnny!! I had lost the tape, but your sample reminded me of the song, which is another of my favorites. You're thinking deep on this. 5's
