The idea for this one came just before Christmas, when I read a news story where some right-wing pundit (O'Reilly, possibly.. can't remember exactly) had already started blaming Obama for the way the economy was tanking, a few weeks before he even got into power.
You might not think Obama has the right policies for getting the US (not to mention the world's) economy out of the state it's in, but only a completely blinkered, utterly dimwitted idiot would try saying he's responsible for it. Shame there are so many of them about.

That's one reason why the market took such a dive: people anticipating his rapacious Marxist regime fled the market and took their chips with them. Very good spoof, Phil, but there is some validity in Contingency's comment above. The market tries to anticipate future events; and, to the extent that President-Elect Obama's programs were expected to harm the economy, it was appropriate to "blame Obama," even before he took office.
But your main point is correct. Obama has only been in office 100 days, and most of the weakness in the economy can be blamed on previous administrations and previous congresses. So we parodists should be patient because there will definitely be some good material coming from this administration in coming years.

For me, "Contingency" sums it up perfectly: calling Obama a "dictator fellator traitor" is a prime example of the lack of thought that goes into attacks on him: Contingency's telling lies before he's got five words into a sentence, why should anybody believe anything that comes after? Not to mention the cowardice implied by hiding behind a pseudonym.
