The Lyrics

I haven't left my bed just yet
I'm sick of wearing suits and ties
and taking showers isn't much fun
Don't want no more soap in my eyes

My briefs on, my briefs on

(my shorts on)
I'm gonna wear a shirt from Hooters (the shirts on)
A hat that says "Dancing Queen" (no hair gel)
Wearing shorts with two holes at my thighs (hair pokes through)
and I'm putting on my new DCs*

Screw fashion, screw fashion
It will save me so much time
Though some may think I look like slime
I'm gonna be dressing down
It's fun to be dressing down
No more frowns
Next week I'll wear my night gown

(Buttons off)
We'll looking really sharp is tough (It takes time)
So I'm won't wear cologne and stuff (it smells strong)
No roll ons on my under arm (it leaves streaks)
Hope that my boss is not alarmed (He's scared shift)
Goggles on, Goggles on

Yes, I'm gonna save some time

and I'm sure I'll be just fine
I'm gonna be, dressing down
It's fun to look, like a clown
Dressing down
This line's stuck on, repeat now

Dressing down
This new look that I've found
As silly as It may sound
I'm gonna be dressing down

It carries on, dressing down
It carries on, dressing down
dressing down
dressing down

Hey, BA Dave! Long time no see! How have you been? Yeah, my parents are so picky about the way I dress. I only feel comfy wearing sweatshirts and black spandex pants. Buy, hey, at least I wasn't voted for "Worst Dressed" in high school, because there was this girl I knew who dressed worse than I do when she was clad in polyester. There are times where I wish I were a guy because some I know wear the most comfortable outfits, except for suits, especially on a hot day. And they don't have to worry about their hair much, either. Well, anyways, you look good no matter what you wear. This is how I see it: It doesn't matter what clothes you wear as long as you're wearing it. I dress like a plain Jane at times, while my mom wants me to be more fashionable. She's so annoying when she acts as the fashion police!! Anyways, here's dress yourself with 5 jeans, 5 sweatshirts, and 5 belts!

You sound like a fashion model when it comes to the clothes that I wear.

This was a really risky song to work with, Dave (it's usually Rex that picks the deep cuts!). I wish the song had a third verse to really drive the silly concept home with a big payoff.

Huh...I'm pretty stunned that there is a Cars song I'm not familiar with. Funny lyrics, worked well with the recording (I did listen). I was...fashionated with it :)

(Artistry) Interesting idea, and well executed IMO. A few really knock-out lines would've really made it, but as is I think it's worth a 555, ya slobby git :P

(Artistry) Love the idea, we need a national dress down day and this can be the theme song.
