Gah. There's something I've been hiding from you guys for a little while, and it's time to get it off my chest. It's hard doing it on every Internet community I join, but at least here I'm doing it in the local fashion. The gist of it is...many AmIRighters have celebrity crushes; for example, Arwen has Vin Diesel, Emi has Orlando Bloom, Spaff has Eva Longoria, and, until recently, Michael Pacholek had Catherine Zeta-Jones. But me? Uh....let's just say my tastes are a little more....unconventional.
You might think I'm nuts 'cause
I love Ric Ocasek
You scoff at his Adam's apple
That juts out from his neck
But I think that he's hot
And maybe you all forgot
That he always shows off
His talent and his wit
To you, he's a monkey,
But to me, he's Brad Pitt!

Not familiar with the other song...or whom, Rick Ocasek is...but it reads well, and has clever content..5's
He's the former lead singer of The Cars, and a current music producer. And apparently, a lot of people think he's funny-looking since he's very tall and gawky, with a prominent Adam's apple and shaggy black hair. I genuinely find him very attractive, though.
Very fun parody, you might think I'm givin' you five's, and you'd be right.
I've seen VH1's digs on Rick, I think Ian Black (maybe?) was joking about his Adam's apple, and how it is large enough to, uh, nevermind. You go Cat!
What would really be worse is if Rick decided to emulate Jacko, and go under the knife. I haven't seen him on VH1, but VH1 Classic had him on their "Hanging With" segment.

Just caught this one, Cat. Ric Ocasek? Hey, you could do worse...what's really funny to me right at this particular moment is that the fellow at work who is sitting almost directly across from me (on the other side, but one seat to my left) is almost a Dead Ringer for Ocasek...less gawky, for sure, but physique-wise, tall, very slender (skinny, actually), dark, shaggy hair parted in the middle. Quite a bright and personable guy, too, actually...and plenty weird - in a very intelligent way...yeah, he's cool...he's about as bent in the head as I am, so I gotta like him...You'd flip, seriously, if you saw him...Hey, it's a brave and risky thing to cop to your celebrity obsession out in public print...good thing I'm not totally strung out on Tori Amos....uh...but, really, it's strictly her music and thought processes...OH...good job, 5's ~ ~ ~

And thanks for the story, there's actually also this kid at my school, a freshman named Phillip (I'm a sophomore, by the way) who could pass for Ric Ocasek's son; he's got the same long and lean body, long face, dark hair, large, bright blue eyes, even a rather prominent Adam's apple as well. And I think he actually kind of likes me, too...so that could become something in the future, I hope. ;)
