The Lyrics

I fall down a lot...I've learned to accept it. This whole song is pretty much autobiographical. It really is a good thing I'm so damned cute...
Rising Up
Dirt on her cheek
Amazingly,
She has no scratches.
This is the 5th time,
That she's fallen this week
To be graceful she knows she should strive

Yes, she's extremely Clumsy
Will her falls ever end?
For she knows that one day
It's going to kill her
It's a good thing she's gorgeous
Or she'd lose all her friends
Because no one wants to stand too close
To the Stumbler

There's the guy
She thinks is cute
He smiles and waves
Her heart just dances
She walks to-ward him
But her flirting is moot
As she trips into a fatal dive!

Yes, she's extremely Clumsy
Will her falls ever end?
For she knows that one day
It's going to kill her
It's a good thing she's gorgeous
Or she'd lose all her friends
Because no one wants to stand too close
To the Stumbler

Working out
Feeling the burn
Just one more mile
And her run's over
But with her shoelace
Caught in the treadmill's turn
She'll be lucky to get out alive!

Yes, she's extremely Clumsy
Will her falls ever end?
For she knows that one day
It's going to kill her
It's a good thing she's gorgeous
Or she'd lose all her friends
Because no one wants to stand too close
To the Stumbler

5's, and do what I do - always keep that good ol' self-esteem high as a kite, 'cause no one else is gonna fly that kite for you...although friends and loved ones sure can help!
Arwen - January 14, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks for the vote, Johnny, and know this: I can totally laugh at myself and my clumsy nature. I think my self esteem is dangerously high. Like...sometimes I worry that I think too highly of myself...but then, I take a look in the mirror, and I can't help it...I freaking RULE. Is that bad? I don't think so...hehehe...
2nz - January 14, 2004 - Report this comment
Nope, it's only weird if you see more than two or three of yourself in the mirror. Ya lost me for pacing a couple of times, but good job overall.
Arwen - January 14, 2004 - Report this comment
Damn...do you want me to call you and sing it for you? Because I can totally make it work. Oh well...I freaking RULE! hehe..thanks for the vote!!

Anything that makes this song more palatable is alright with me! Do you know they actually play the original at Amway rallys? :-0
Arwen - January 14, 2004 - Report this comment
Are you telling me you've been to an Amway rally?
Paul Robinson - January 15, 2004 - Report this comment
Arwen, In the eye of this old cat this looked beautiful. Eye squinted at the scoring section and think I clicked "Lots" 3 times. I'd ask you to call me and sing it to me anyway because I am such a dirty old man, and I'll bet you are real cute, but I'd probably trip on the way to answer the phone and my message machine would pick up. Nice work.
Paul - January 15, 2004 - Report this comment
LOL...well, at least then we'd know that we were kindred spirits, huh Paul? Thanks for the vote!
Arwen - January 15, 2004 - Report this comment
I'm such an idiot that I posted that under Paul's name...Clumsy AND an airhead...sorry!!
Paul Robinson - January 15, 2004 - Report this comment
Arwen, Yeah, it is geting scary. I don't know how many times I've typed in the other person's name in the "Your name" field when I wanted to send a comment to them. In fact I think I did it a couple times last night with your name and then caught the error. So maybe it was some sort of "Contact" stupidity...But on the bright side I consider the expression of slightly over-the-top self-confidence combined with a humorous acknowledgement of various absent-minded/clumsy traits to be rather endearing.
Arwen - January 15, 2004 - Report this comment
Paul, I really think that the key to really good self esteem...as opposed to cockiness...(i think i have both, actually)...is the ability to accept your faults and laugh at them. I never get embarrassed...if I did, that is all I would ever do...because I am seriously a freaking idiot a lot of the time. And yet...I still RULE! hehehe...thanks again, Paul!

Arwen, I just took a look at your "Author" recap and it looks like you're finally getting some overdue recognition. Been deservedly racking up big numbers the last couple days. 2nz really got the ball rolling on your stuff with "Lady Arwen Appreciation Week", but without the quality that wouldn't do a whole lot. Keep on postin' -- we'll keep reading.

Hey, Arwen, I was just checking my palantir and, DAMN, you are so fine. Then I dropped it on my foot. d;:^)
Arwen - January 16, 2004 - Report this comment
Paul...thanks for that very kind comment. I don't know that I deserve recognition any more than the next parody artist...but of course we all want it, or we wouldn't be posting things, right? I appreciate it very much!!
Arwen - January 16, 2004 - Report this comment
Bob...LOL...thanks!!
Karen - January 31, 2004 - Report this comment
Hey Arwen - no chance this song is recorded with a download available? My husband is in a charity beauty pageant and he wants to use this song to dance to as his talent. It would be abolutely hilarious!
Arwen - February 01, 2004 - Report this comment
Karen...I'm sorry...no such luck! Maybe one day...Sorry!

I just stumbled upon this one, and it's great, three fives.

Arwen - May 28, 2004 - Report this comment
Ashkicksass...I have a strange feeling you may be a kindred spirit...
Paul Robinson - June 17, 2004 - Report this comment
Arwen, I've always praised, voted, commented, and re-commented on this one numerous times, but this was a good one, Stumbellina...
Paul Robinson - June 17, 2004 - Report this comment
Well, it's obvious that I've forgotten how to proof-read today. "I've ALREADY..." yada-yada...
Arwen - June 17, 2004 - Report this comment
The fact that you made my laugh to the point of bothering the girl in the office next door with the phrase "Stumbellina" is grounds for forgiveness, Paul...=)

I just thought I'd check out some of your other parodies, since I'm sure there's plenty of them I haven't looked at yet. Anyway, I thought this one was clever, so I vote 5-5-5 on it. Just out of curiostiy, do you really fall down a lot? ;D
Arwen - October 13, 2004 - Report this comment
Serafina...you are so sweet! Thanks for checking out the old stuff!

To answer the question...I do fall down, on average, more than most people...but since I'm exceptionally cute, it doesn't matter too much...; )

"I fall down a lot...I've learned to accept it" you have no idea how hard that made me laugh!
Ashkicksass - December 10, 2004 - Report this comment
Just restoring my 5's!

And just for the record "I am seriously a freaking idiot a lot of the time" made ME laugh really super hard!
Arwen - December 10, 2004 - Report this comment
Jeff and Ash...you guys make me laugh super hard EVERY day...so...I'm glad I could return the favor...
Stuart McArthur - December 10, 2004 - Report this comment
well, although I loved this (but you knew I would), the real pleasure for me is an historical one, for on May 28, 2004, the following quote was posted by a Ms Arwen:

Ashkicksass...I have a strange feeling you may be a kindred spirit...
Arwen - December 10, 2004 - Report this comment
Oh yes...a lot of people don't realize that there was a time when I was here without my favorite Asskicker. And look how far we have come since then...we have gone from my "strange feeling" to being...duh duh duh...
