The Lyrics

Refers to trAction Painting, a genre I devised in which I apply paint to large canvases by using, bikes, skates, wheelchairs, etc., as my "brushes."
I glide with the touch—rolled image painting;
there’s no need for a crutch for rolled painting.
Hard fall don’t take on the floor—
that ain’t what I am rolling for.

Just go do it—rolled image “skainting.”
Go slip and slide, do a jeté.
I gotta move, give my hips a sway.
Create rolled-image painting,
hold on and make rolled image paintings.
A portmanteau word is “skainting…
combination of “skating,” “painting.”

Wish that my efforts would make me money;
some think these efforts are kind of funny.
Some folks think that I am out
of my mind and express doubt
when I make ’em, rolled image paintings.
If I fall I’ll turn black and blue;
to stay upright is what I gotta do
for that rolled image painting,
for that rolled image “skainting.”
Stay on top for rolled image painting,
carefully for rolled image painting.

And then a friend gives me a dare:
“You have got to get beyond skates;
use bikes, baby!”

“This guy is out of his mind,” is my first thought, but it’s unkind.
Could I do it, rolled pedal “bainting?”
So I get myself an old bike; I find it is something that I like:
2-wheeled rolled image painting, bike-based rolled image “bainting.”
Look at me: rolling and Schwinn-painting.
Climb on! Let’s go rolled image painting.
