Hey, 9 lb (4 kg) isn't a bad size for a cat if she is Norwegian forest cat, Siberian, Maine Coon or Ragdoll. The largest Ragdoll I have seen is the size of a lynx - and her owner said she is still kitty and will grow...
SV -- True :) Actually Spot is about 10 1/2, and he's probably a Bombay cat, they're long and slender even when they weigh that much. -- MM
