The Lyrics

Egad, it's almost Halloween! That means it's time for my first Christmas parody of the season! ;-) Don't know the original song? It's on YouTube. Try to imagine this being sung by a Christmas elf.
You come and hold me
After you scold me
Then boldly
State your cunning plan

Why don't we steal a sleigh
Why don't we steal a sleigh
Just for tonight
Although it ain't right

Knew it
I really blew it
Let's do it
Find another ride

Why don't we steal a sleigh
Why don't we steal a sleigh
Just for tonight
I know it ain't right
But there's no time, it's
Christmas eve night

I tried to fly Santa's sleigh
And then I crashed and broke it
(And he is riding tonight)

Why don't we steal a sleigh
Why don't we steal a sleigh
Say it'll be ok
If we go steal a sleigh
Just for tonight
For Santa to ride
I'm gonna cry
'Cause this really bites
I'm an elf in dismay
Let's make it right
Just for tonight, k?

Why don't we steal a sleigh
For Santa's flight
Just for the holiday

Hi Rex! Always good to see you! Didn't think I knew the original, but turns out it's that Doobie Brothers ripoff I hate! (Not a fan of Michael McDonald Doobies either for the record). Anyway, great title sub; not a lot to work with lyric-wise, but still a fun read.
