Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Motörhead is my favorite band and this is based on the title track from their break through album with the same name. [MODE SHAMELESS PLUG] Buy it! Apart from once ("Achilles" to "Killers") I have previously restrained myself from reworking Lemmy´s brilliant lyrics, I´ve even said that would be sacrilege, but since it is well known that Lemmy has a strong interest in history I think/hope he will approve if he should ever come across this.

Whether or not Michael Pacholek will bash me for entering his presidential parody realm or any historical inaccuracy is a completely different matter, I hope the answer is no there too because this has been in the making ever since I tossed the title out as an idea in a comment to one of those songs in his big project last year and I'll have to give him credit for inspiration. ;-)
If you like your freedom, I tell you he's the man
He was white, wore black, t'was all the same to him
The measure of this man, it makes no friends within the clan
He had no cotton greed, for freedom he would bleed
As he freed the slaves, he freed the slaves

Laying down the law at fourscore an' some seven
Going out to war, t'was all a bloody chore
Linco'n wasn't drink'n, Grant was scotchin' though
Lee called him a git, confederates he'd spit
He freed the slaves, he freed the slaves

So Grant was born to booze, and rambling is for fools
But that's the way it went down see, historians go on forever
And it was sure a smoker!

Pushing up the daisies, the final of the basics
Lincoln was killed, by John Wilkes Booth at Ford's
Some bullets killed him dead, took one in the head
And though he's rather late, his legacy is great
He freed the slaves, he freed the slaves

5-5-5 for making such a dynamite parody about Abe Lincoln! I gotta give you an award for that, man!
