My friend, you are to be commended for your commitment. Don't back down without reason. I voted Yes on Proposition 8; so, if you feel compelled to call me a criminal, so be it. I believe that gays and straights should have the same legal rights, but that does not mean that the definition of marriage should be changed. I agonized about this proposition because I think that functions such as defining marriage are outside the scope of government, but in the end, I wanted the definition of marriage to be retained and I voted Yes.
John, you have no idea what this is about. Prop 8 is wrong. It doesnt change the definition of marriage at all. Your statement makes no sense if you voted Yes. "I believe gays and staraights should have the same rights"
