The Lyrics

With his death the other day and his seclusion for years before that, in my mind there is a serious question that has to be asked:
Ooh ooh ooh aah
Did he make that change
Did he change his life
On his promise make good
Did he make a difference
Did he make it right?

As I turned my t.v. on
To my favorite news
This story’s blowin’ my mind
I see people in the street
All stricken with grief
Who am I to make fun
Pretending not to see their despair

Remember his disregard
For child innocence
Did he change his soul?
Did they forgive him
Or he forgive himself
‘Cause he may have I don’t know
That’s why I have to know

I’m looking at the man on the t.v.
I’m asking did he change his ways?
Did his trials and the birth of two children
Make him wanna help children to a better place
Did he look at himself and then make that change?
Na na na, na na na, na na na na oh ho

There were some victims of
His selfish kinda love
But did he ever realize
Those boys were not full grown
He should leave them alone
Could he have really started keeping them out of his room?

A child deeply scarred
A parent’s broken heart
And a washed out dream (washed out dream)
He followed the patter of his dad, ya’ see
Did he pass it down to his own
That’s why I’m asking, you see

I’m looking at the man up on youtube
I’m asking did he change his ways?
Did his trials and the birth of two children
Make him wanna help children to a better place
Did he look at himself and then make that change?

I’m looking at that man in the papers
I’m asking did he change his ways?
Did his trials and the birth of two children
Make him wanna help children to a better place
Did he look at himself and then make that change?

I’m looking at that man in the tabloids {oh yeah)
I’m asking did he change his ways? (Change)
Did his trials and the birth of two children
Make him wanna help children to a better place
Did he look at himself and then make that change?
Did he get it right, he ran out of time
‘Cause when they stop your heart
You can’t change your mind

(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)
Ooh
Oh yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)

I hope
I hope, he did make that change
I hope he did make good
Sure mon (Change)
He helped himself
You know, he had to stop it himself (Yeah)
Oh,
Did he make that change that day, oh
He had to, he had to not let himself, bother oh
Yeah
He knew that (Make that change)
He had to make that make him then make
He got, he got to move
Sha-mon, sha-mon
He had to stand up, stand up, stand up
Stand up and change himself, now
Oh, oh, Ah (Man on the t.v.)
Gotta make that change, sha-mon
He knew it, you know it, we know it, he knew
Made that change

I stand by my statement elsewhere of 'the place to judge' which is not ours. . .for what it's worth I appreciate that you didn't take the angel of just bashing with it--and posed it as a question, but personally I think that it is between him and whatever happens after death now, peace. . .his guilt was not proven in court of law, but even it had been, the court of law means nothing when one dies, which is why I do my best not to judge anyone. No person is perfect, and I believe to follow your heart on what's wrong and right is the way to be, what becomes of Michael after life is not for any of us to know, so I won't speculate. . .good luck on your recording venture though, no vote on this one, don't have a strong feeling one way or the other. . .

R.I.P. Michael Jackson! I'm sure God will forgive his past sins that he committed. Michael Jackson is the man on the TV...the YouTube...the papers...and the tabloids! For all we know, Michael will always be the man in our mirrors! You chose a great song for this tribute! We'll never him "sha-mon", or dance the moonwalk again! :( 5's for condolences!
