Using one's own song to point out a foible is most appropriate. After all, when Billy Joel had his last car wreck, I turned "All You Wanna Do Is Dance" into "All You Wanna Do Is Drive." On the other hand, I used a BJ song to smack MJ: "Captain Jacko."
