The Lyrics

I'm not a huge comic book fan, but the idea of the jealous, younger brother of the Caped Crusader was too good to pass up. Original Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jHXu86O01w
I work hard, have a wife and family
‘Round Thanksgiving time, I get so worried
I see my whole family, I love my parents
Don’t love me much as my sibling

I’ll tell ya,
Man it sucks being Batman’s brother
All the love from dad and mother
He fights crime, and I am a plumber
Since age of one, they like him much better

My beer gut, no match for his muscles
He is six foot four; I’m so much shorter
He said, "So I saved the town again…”
I just smiled and whispered, “You’re Superman’s Man-Bitch”

It’s not fair!
It sucks being Batman’s brother
I don’t know why, has no powers
Man, so what if he has a butler…
The Batmobile, Batcave and Wayne Manor?

I work hard, I work hard all day
He lounges, till crime comes ‘round his way
I laughed to myself, "Are you freakin’ kidding me?
Black underwear, that dumb mask and that cape!"

And he said,
“You’re just mad cause you’re Batman’s brother
Who women love and remember…
Just last year, saved this town from Joker! (ooohh)
I’m number one, you are just a plumber.”

Aw man,
Man it sucks being Batman’s brother,
I still get scared when it thunders
His cool belt, need one when bent over
At this point, I’d be the Boy Wonder

Why am I damn Batman’s brother?
I’m waiting for, “You’re adopted!”
Man I fear the end of October
Everyone dresses like my brother

Oh geez,
Man it sucks being Batman’s brother
The women love Caped Crusader
Joker please, can you try much harder?
Then one day, then I’ll take over.

Don't want to play the stereotypical Simpsons Comic Book Guy here but.... Batman's parents are dead. It's a pretty major element to the Batman series because it's what made Bruce Wayne become Batman. Therefore, If Batman actually had a brother, his brother's parents would be dead too. It's a clever idea though, I'm just saying that there's no way for it to be possible.

Haha I figured someone would have to be the Comic Book Guy on this one. I know absolutely nothing about comic books, superheroes etc...I was kind of doing my version of Stephen Lynch's "Craig" about Jesus' brother...only with Batman.

Funny-555!!! No joke, I have submitted to DC, Marvel, and Antarctic Press for comic characters and Third Reich fiction. All got rejected as niche market material. I got mad but it's tough to break into their line-ups. My Marvel hero was a female from Iceland named "Gyr Falcon" and my DC was "The Flying Fox" (a bat character). AP was more German disc aircraft material, but they rejected b/c they make comic fiction and I wanted a comic illustrated directory based on my own book as Technical Manual... But good song. I was also rejected for "Star Trek Nomad" for TV and yet I still have 3 books of "Star Wars" fiction that were online until my site host and I separated. I have them at home all safe and intact but cannot sell them.

(AofA) Any true Batman fan would know that the death of Bruce Wayne's parents is the catalyst for his becoming of BAtman, but that aside, this was a clever and fun idea. I enjoyed it. The factual error took nothing away from it for me.

Ages...as the youngest of five children whose older siblings all have, at one time or another, seemed to outshine me, I thought this was hilarious...I LOVED the idea, and thought you ran with it well!!

And...as I was reading, and loving it, I was kind of bracing myself for the "Batman doesn't have a brother" comments. Sheesh. Who honestly cares? Certainly we aren't bound by "facts" on this, of all sites? Guess what...I'm not actually an elf that lives in Rivendell. Jeff isn't a Redneck Wizard in real life. Spaff never REALLY got crabs from Darth Vader. Isn't EVERYTHING we do and say around this joint utter nonsense? I hope so...because that's why I love it so much. It's all in good fun, people...be cool...

Okay...rant over. Loved this, AS... =)

(Ages) This'd make a cool backstory for a new Batman villain. A brother who took the death of his parents the wrong way and went deep in denial, eventually becoming a madman who attacks parents in order to draw out the Dark Knight and confront him. Or something like that. Nice parody here, the wording was a bit clunky, and a bit of research would've avoided the whole "but Batman's parents are dead" comments, but hey, I like my villain idea so much it overrides that. Now I want to design a costume for him...555!

I thought this was a clever idea, out of the box. Very well done, funny lines and creating the story to go with it.

(AofA) I liked the idea, but it read a little clunky to me. I liked it though.
