Parody Song Title:

"No Permanence"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

from "The Inaccurate Confection"
(Como est-a usted?)

Last night she bought me some mangoes
I bought her Chinese Won-Ton; we banged a gong
We had apple pies for dessert
There was not much to say—a little play

Typical banality
Premature obscenity
Absolute profundity
The smiling face of Rita
I would play a roundelay
And she would get so high
Through all the tears and last goodbyes
No permanence would apply

Last night I brought out my bongos
Rhythm tapping on my knee, she sang to me
It was a samba, then a tango
I played and played so fast
My fingers turned to glass (Refrain)

I want to be with you all of my life
Put me to the test and you can be my wife
Share my ice cream—vanilla swirl
Maybe someday in the real-life world

(Repeat Verse 1, then refrain)

This was one of Madonnas biggest hits and still you're the only writer of any stature here on amiright who has taken it on!? Wow - Kudos!

The footnote says 2001 though so it must have been an early work for you I guess, the Agri I know would not have missed the chance to add at least some more variations to the chorus that is repeated four times (check for my attempt at that and the whole thing tomorrow).
