Original Song Title:

"Hello"

Original Performer:

Lionel Richie

Parody Song Title:

"Jello"

Parody Written by:

Mikey Squirrel

I've tried the different ice creams, I'm not sure why
I'm sick of cake and fruit cocktail, and all those pies
But there's always one dessert you can't deny

Jell-O, with whipped cream and strawberries
Yes, I've seen it in the fridge, now I want it in my bowl
It wiggles and it jiggles, it's a gelatin mold
Yes it seems to make enough, for a family of four
If it can't feed everybody just make more

I long to make a lot, of lemon-lime
Just mix two cups of water in, and you'll be fine
I see that skin form on top every time

Jell-O, I've just got to have some more
Because it makes Bill Cosby smile, when he eats his pudding pops
Yes it comes in different flavors, the fun never seems to stop
Till me if it's chilled enough, or out of the fridge too soon
And don't think that you're too full there's always room
(repeat)

(ABC) Some pacing glitches, but good job.

(ABC05) It's OK, but Mad magazine did something similar and better 20 years ago.

(ABC05) Apparently I already voted this and didn't comment as my vote wouldn't take. I haven't heard any prior versions of this so it's pretty funny. One thing that bothers me a bit is the (repeat) at the end, I like to see repeated parts typed out, even if it is a copy/paste. Still excellent though.

( J ) - Kooky and funny, Mikey - "If it can't feed everybody… just make more" made me LOL for some reason!

Pacing was a bit wobbly, but tasty nonetheless.
Jeff Reuben - August 03, 2005 - Report this comment
Not bad...couple pacing glitches, and a rhyme mismatch, but good idea.

Hmm... a Squirrel eating Jello? What next, I wonder...
