The Lyrics
This baby grew from a gnarled and twisted family tree, so no wonder it has erupted as such a replusive little gall! The original song was released in 1980 on the album British Steel by Judas Priest. Mike Judge later directed his animated children Beavis & Butthead to pay tribute to it in a 1993 episode gag where they break into their own spontaneous version of the refrain that gives the episode its title. Now I am re-telling their story in a fully fleshed out (heh heh heh heh heh) rendition of the little wiener-heads’ ditty on getting rich quick. Sadly, the lyrical length of TOS keeps this from being as rich an exposition of their adventure as it might be, and affords us but a hint at its dénouement. Bob Gomez gets credit for putting this one back into my head after he peeked at one of my B&B parodies and then showed me one of his. (Do you see what happens, Bob?)
