The Lyrics

we worked on the outskirts of town
in an eight room death house baby
well some bodies were always around..
there was always something doin..
had me a couple of real bad corpses..
recreations once in a while
when I think back about those things
all I can do is sit and smile

that's when one choked on a rope
not moving or groovin,
presenting was everything
makeup meant they were improving
crying, crying were their friends
holding hands for dead folks baby
inside the bod.. we embalmed.
where thet fluid we were dumpin yeah yeah yeah
say yeah yeah yeah

some people pray, it seems forever
and the next ones came in so quick
some folk die down in this little country town
no ifs ands, buts people get sick..
one night, me and my big mouth
when I embalmed not from toes, but by face
when I saw the results my place
was just not good I did it right again..

that's when a corpse was a corpse
and they were not movin
and beauty was everything
I was new but I was improving
making granny good again
ice cold hands meant something baby
I did the job, we embalmed
their hearts had stopped beating, thunping,
said yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah yeah

this young guy was not thirty five
I'm surprised that he's not livin
he only did one thing so wrong
but now he's stopped movin
had a few kids not yet grown
they will grow and never know
what he'd do
they ware all cryin too loud
but we embalmed his toes up too..

that's when a corpse was a corpse
and they were not movin
and beauty was everything
I was new but I was improving
making granny good again
ice cold hands meant something baby
I did the job, we embalmed
their hearts had stopped beating, thunping,
said yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah yeah
