The Lyrics

You're missing something when reading this song: try to imagine Slash playing the intro, but hitting the odd wrong note.. then some of the most godawful dis-chords. That's kind of how it's supposed to work in performance, anyway. I'll post a video sometime, if I don't get lynched - it really does sound that bad :-)

And the "Where do we go now" repeated bit towards the end isn't quite so repetetive musically, in that I'm trying all sorts of different chords, none of which are quite what they should be. If you see what I mean.
I'm playin' a song, you might have noticed that
Sometimes it's sharp, sometimes it's flat
And sometimes..
Sometimes it's just plain wrong
Down in Hell there will be rewards
For people who play these sorts of chords
And murder,
Murder your favourite song

Oh, no, NO!
These chords ain't right
Oh, no, no, NO!
These chords ain't right

I've not yet worked out which fret
Which note I should be playin'
And looking out, seeing all your eyes
Are watering with pain
Each chord reminds me of a fingernail
Being pulled out with pliy-yers
And audiences
Scream at me
Why don't I **** off and diy-yi

Oh, no, NO!
These chords ain't right
Oh, no, ****, NO!
These chords ain't right

Oh, no, NO!
That one sounds shiy-yi-yi-yite
Oh, no, no, NO!
These chords ain't right

Where does it go
Where do the notes go
Where does it go - no, no, no, no, no
Not where it goes, no
Where does it go (not. right.)
Where dooes go
That chord's not right
D'oh! Where does it go now
Try-ai-ai-ai
Where do the notes go
Where does go

Where do the notes go
Where do the notes go
Where does it go?
Where do the notes go
No no no no no no no
Not ri-yi-yight
Not ri-ee-i-ee-i-yi-yi-yight
Not right

So how do I vote on pacing for this one if I wanna get with the theme, whatever I choose must be wrong if it's right... guess I'll just vote 555.

:-) Thanks, everyone.

OMR - as a musician, this is not a nice one to play. My daughter complains it makes her feel physically ill when I practice.

Rebekah - oddly enough, A# is not one of the chords I hit (though there is the odd flattened A)

JB - with a fourth thrown in for lulz

Peter - something like that, yes :-)
