"Chuck Christmas"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Fear was a notable Los Angeles punk band from around 1980. They were featured in the movie "The Decline of Western Civilization" and played "Saturday Night Live" at the invitation of John Belushi. The lead singer, Lee Ving, had a respectable acting career in the early eighties. This song however, was written by the lead guitarist, Philo Cramer, whom I happened to go to High School with, and learned a lot from.It came out in 1982 as a single, with the uncensored song on one side, and the bleeped version on the other. Both versions are around 45 seconds long, which may be in the running as one of the shortest singles ever issued.
Don't go out
It's that scary Christmas
There's no doubt
It's a bear at Christmas
All the loonies
In the way
So obsessed with that holiday
But you see
That hype I hate

Chuck Christmas
Chuck Christmas
Chuck Christmas
Chuck Christmas
Chuck Christmas
Chuck Christmas
Chuck Christmas
Chuck Christmas

Dont know or remember that song, but they broadcasted the movie on one of the channels here just a few months ago! The metal scene (or rather glam rock scene) fashion of that time give me the creeps! Practically the only guy in plain simple leather and denim was Lemmy of Motörhead, not surprisingly also the only one (except maybe Megadeth who are just back with a new album BTW) that has stood the test of time.
