Parody Song Title:

"I've Got A Broken Down Car"

Parody Written by:

Billy Florio

The Lyrics

special thanks goes to Jeff Reuben for helping me with part of a line
I've got a feeling that noise is serious, girl
My engine is shot, it's the worst car in the world
My muffler's gone crazy, it's gonna explode
My oil's rusted, and my starter is old, starter is old

My car's worse than a melted down Chevy
My car's worse than music from GWAR
Hate the way the roof leaks, everytime the rain seeps
I've got a broken down, I've got a broken down car

Sounds like its going to stop dead at any time
The leaky transmission, is what's giving me that sign
It's at the garage just about every week
Is a good fan belt baby that hard to seek, it's that hard to seek?

Got a door from a faded green Gremlin
Got a seat from Nissan Pulsar
Hate the way it seizes, really for no reason
I've got a broken down, I've got a broken down car

I have no spare tire, horse power's weak
my car is so old, it could be an, it could be an antique

My car has no working cassette player
my car has a scratch that's a yard
My car loses gas more, than my ageing mother
I've got a broken down, I've got a broken down car

I should just write this here...this was inspired by a true story..well somewhat.....I drive a really crappy car....it's a 1986 Lebarron, but its falling apart on me....one time when I was at work, a girl came in, and we started talking about her car, and I stupidly mentioned that I drive that crappy Lebarron which the roof is leaking and the ceiling in colapsing and the starter has gone twice on me, etc..she was kind of turned off by that lol......anyway, thats why there are references to me talking to a girl...(like where it says "girl" and "baby")..its not because I couldnt think of anything better ..(whew, covered that up well...) anyway, my car doesnt have a door from a Gremlin.......it has one from a pinto

I think the story about the girl is as funny as the song! Probably because I've been there, when I was 16, I had a 1977 Pontiac Catalina with the ceiling collapsing, a door that was not like the others, and the horn didn't beep...but did light up the ceiling light. So if I was angry enough to honk, I could only send them morse code. Chicks really didn't do it. Thanks for the recognition!

I once had a 1979 Mercury Zephyr. Please don't laugh. I said don't laugh! I said don't...aw, screw it. An '86 LeBaron? Wasn't that George Costanza's car that was owned by, as the registration said, "John Voight"? Maybe he can find Jon's daughter and ask her if he...right, like George would see Angelina Jolie and think of a car.

Close, George's was a convertable...my bro's car isnt a convertable, but the roof is falling down...;-)

I liked this one a lot, better than Weird Al's "Stop Draggin My Car Around". !

This was a really good one, but the best Amiright bad-car song remains "A Car Full of Holes" by His Name Was Kenny. Whatever happened to him, anyway?
