Parody Song Title:

"Calling Elves"

Parody Written by:

Susanna Viljanen

First Age is gone and Morgoth has fallen, but where are the Quendi?
Calling Elves -
Is anybody there?
Calling Elves
Any Noldor here?
Did they leave for Havens
when Morgoth fell -
Calling Elves
can anyone tell?

Middle-Earth is barren
only men dwell there
while all of Sindar
forests only care
Oh all the Khazad
gone underground
Of the house of Feanor
none can be found -

Calling Elves -
Is anybody there?
Calling Elves
Any Noldor here?
Did they leave for Havens
when Morgoth fell -
Calling Elves
can anyone tell?

And all of Edain
moved to Numenor
Why don't the Noldor
dwell here anymore?
Did they all go westwards
to the Elven-home
or do house of Fingon
still live here on?

Middle-Earth is barren
only men dwell there
while all of Sindar
forests only care
Oh all the Khazad
gone underground
Of the house of Feanor
none can be found -

Calling Elves -
Is anybody there?
Calling Elves
Any Noldor here?
Did they leave for Havens
when Morgoth fell -
Calling Elves
can anyone tell?

TOS is the only DS song I've ever briefly sketched at, years ago, as "talking elvish", and I gave it up when I realised I didn't actually know LotR good enough to fill it with phrases and/or names and/or that it wouldn't be an audience for it anyway, too nieced, but apparently I was wrong on the at least the last - Good Work!

You've just brought the Tolkien style beat to boot there, Susanna! A great tribute to elves! Take some enchanted 5's!

Great elf tale here and with a fairly obscure Dire Straits song. I have a lot of their music, but never expected to see this one parodied.

I've been calling Arwen, but she hasn't been returning my calls. I guess it's been too long since I wrote a parody for her. I'd better get to work.
