This song is begging to be attacked from all angles. CMON! lets see 3 or 4 different views on Surrender. Heck take this and work it over wtf, i dont care
Gary, you have a VERY funny idea here and some great lines scattered through it, but you might consider stripping off the Am I Right references (and refs to Dude), to give the parody a more universal appeal. I think if you try a more playful "devil may care" approach (kind of "sure I'm quirky...ha-ha, whatever"- - Anything but bitter), you may find yourself with a hot parody-writer's anthem on your hands. I've noticed you're taking a more active role in reviewing other folks' parodies (by the way, thanks for the 5 on Christmas Sells), and I hope you're having more fun now than perhaps you did in the beginning. Good things usually come when you aren't hungry for them. I give you credit for hanging in there. Oh yeah - I'll give you your 5's now, 'cause I know you'll earn 'em.
well i am going to get back to it, and make something different out of it, instead of a rebuttal to "Dudes" coments. In fact, as i stated i welcome your take on it, use any of my words you want. it will be back in a different form soon. and beleive me if you had been dragged down the road as many times as i have, bitter would seem an understatement. i think its funny that i started out repairing semi tractors while my brother got a Literary degree. Now he sells new Semi Tractors, and i play on here writing. i do wish i had more time to rate everything that comes on but i dont. and i wont rate anything religous or political. i do think a 4th factor needs to be entered into the voting factor.. Page view count. how many read it, and didnt feel it needed comment or voting on.
Page view count is something I've been considering adding to parodies, and it may appear at some point in the near future. I need to worry about server load issues before I do it though, so it won't be something I rush to do.
