The Lyrics

Ah, Pallet Town, the humble beginnings of every Pokémon trainer...unless they lived in Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh or Unova. Um...yeah. Enjoy!
Well, I'm living here in Pallet Town
And there's only 'bout six people around
All the other Kanto towns are wide
We have two homes
That suits us fine

All the children leave the town when they're ten
To catch creatures and become their friends
There's rock monsters and small fuzzy things
All Pokémon
They fight in gyms

But they start out here in Pallet Town
The air's filled with a soft 8-bit sound
And I'm going on my quest today

Well, today I'm leaving Pallet Town
Choose my starter Pokémon and head out
Got a rival and his name is Blue
Though I think I'll
Just call him Douche

I choose Charmander cause fire is cool
Douche picks Squirtle and he wants me to duel
In the middle of the lab, surreal
Professor Oak
May need to heal

Had my first vic'try in Pallet Town
I got six Pokéballs and a map, wow!
So I think I'd best be on my way

Ev'ry child leaves at ten, it sounds nuts
I think everyone one of them has lots of guts
Walking through grass while on my way to each place
Ev'ry creature and trainer gets in my face

Well, I started out in Pallet Town
Won four badges as I've travelled round
And my Charmander evolved today

And I won't be giving up, no way
But I still miss good ol' Pallet Town
One of my favourite parts in Pokemon is the insert-name-here feature. So I can call Mewtwo "Mr. Snuggles" and my hated rival "Dumbass" and much amusement is had.

I enjoyed this even though I know zilch about Pokemon!

Just barely enough knowledge of Pokemon got me through this one, too. I thought this was going to be a song about a store that sells warehouse stacking materials.

I've played the game for like 30 seconds once back when I was in middle school. That's about as much knowledge about Pokemon that I know so I was completely lost on this one. Sorry dude.

Not only that, unlike the anime, in the game you can win the whole thing. Seriously the anime counetrpart is a choke artist. Also, gotta love Missingno. and the phantom PC.

You know what they say in Jamaica: "Hurry up and don't be pokey, mon!" I learned more about Pokemon reading your parody than I knew before.

I echo Porfle's comment, I enjoyed reading this and it flowed very well...just don't know much about the subject.

I, uh, know very little about Pokemon, buddy, I'm sorry. . .It'd probably go really well for a Pokemon crowd though--just some songs don't translate to contests because they are catered to specific crowds (man don't I know this from experience) but that doesn't mean anything, it seems like itd go very well to the right crowd.

The second half of this was good, but the first half was inspired, and worked very well for me. Excellent pokemon parody TCOP. I know enough to appreciate the vast majority of this.
