"Would You Pass the Gravy"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

In my opinion, the gravy makes the meal. Enjoy.
Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please I just can't wait any more,
I really need somebody to pour.
I'm so glad I got your invite.
Lady, dry meat is wrong, but with gravy it's right, tonight!

Your cuts of meat are so prime,
“I bought them from the butcher today.
I cooked them with a small sprig of thyme.
Put the dish down my son, and pass the gravy this way!”

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

This recipe is passed down from mother,
I'd never entrust a roast to another.
Say, I don't think it's wise to eat parsnips this size,
Your Yorkshire puddings are heinous,
But they taste better than fries.

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Maybe I'll have leg and not crown.
Pass another piece here.
'n gravy this whole meal must drown.
Yummy, yummy, yummy, alright.
Gravy is a great shade of brown.
Running out's a big fear.
The gravy level is going down!
'Tis not gloopy, gloopy, gloopy, gloopy.

What a smashing gravy.
We like it, like it, like it, no fat!
Three cheers for the gravy.
Yao.

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Please, please,
Would you pass the gravy?

Oh no, oh no,
We've run out of gravy!

Oh no, oh no,
We've run out of gravy!

Oh no, oh no,
We've run out of gravy!

Oh no, oh no,
We've run out of gravy!

We've, we've we've run out of gravy!

We've, we've we've run out of gravy!

We've, we've we've run out of gravy!

We've, we've we've run out of gravy!

Alas, alas (repeat to fade).

Mr Long, you are a man after my own heart. Gravy does indeed make the meal, nothing worse than dry meat. 3 x 5 gravy boats for you!

I wrote a parody about Thanksgiving Dinner once, so I'm not one of those people who don't appreciate the divine condiment. Made from chicken broth, beef, flour, or milk/cream; able to be kept liquefied or thickened to magma's consistency, it is truly an adaptable sauce able to fit well with any meat or other side dish. .....Too dramatic? Anyway, just the thought of rhyming gravy with lady is enough to laugh about
