Parody Song Title:

"Your Pond/All Frog People"

Parody Written by:

Agrimorfee

I've seen all frog people use their tongues each day
To catch some flies, they've got great aim

As they sit on they lilypads and blink their beady eyes
They can leapfrog each other so fast, you havne't got time to wonder why

'Cause the slime is fine and time is slime and tadpoles
Are captured...for scientific use

I'm a handsome prince; hey, pretty girl
Kiss me anytime you want
Just remember if you kiss a toad
You'll start catching
Ugly warts

'Cause the slime is fine and time is slime and tadpoles
Are captured...for scientific use
Oh yeah

Don't leave yourself in the swamp
That just isn't fair
Sing out for the bog with me
Even if you don't care (Don't lose yourself in the swamp)

'Cause the slime is fine and time is slime and tadpoles
Are captured...for scientific use

Ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit--doo-dah!
Ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit--doo-dah!

'Cause the slime is fine and time is slime and tadpoles
(All we are saying...)
Are captured...for scientific use
(Is give frogs a chance)

'Cause the slime is fine and time is slime and tadpoles
Are captured...

I've seen all frog people use their tongues each day
To catch some flies, they've got great aim
(repeat through fadeout...)

Very cute song.

This one makes a lot more sense than the usual Yes lyrics, even "Ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit, ribit--doo-dah!" Good job!

It seems a shame that Your Move/All Good People isn't widely known. The original is a classic and so is your re-make!

Let's start our own Yes parody club.

Yes, "Yes" !! Agri, great job. I wrote a parody of a Yes song, too - "Floundershout", a parody of Yes's tune "Roundabout". This is a great parody. 5's

I'm willing to bet no one else is going to tackle "Close to the Edge"

Clever parody. I agree that the ribit, ribit lines are especially appropriate.

Already voted, but would like to add: (1) great combination of original song and subject, (2) cute, (3) clever, (4) love the original song.

Agrimorfee - Personally, I never much cared for "Yes", but is really good! I've got to give this match some serious thought...I'm a bit partial to my own parody, but I not gonna automatically vote for myself, I know the original song pretty well, but I'm having trouble with the sound on my computer (not getting anything from the link, even though I see the "play" arrow moving. . I'm was going to stop by my former workplace anyway this afternoon. I'll see if I can commander a PC with a sound card & speakers to check this out further vs. the original and think about the "funny" component a bit more. OH...5-5-5, of course...There's also a couple other songs in the bracket that I need to here since they are DKTOS to me, so I'll do that there, too. Should have my vote in on the entire bracket by later this evening.

This song earned 3 5s in an amphibious sort of way.

As I started reading through the first few verses, I was really hoping you'd do "ribit ribit ribit..." And you did! And there was much rejoicing.

P.S. I'm surprised that Beatle boy RAD didn't pick up on your slipping in a "Give peace a chance" reference in place of the original's "Instant Karma." Nice touch.

And I never understood a single thing he said, but he always had some mighty fine wine. I can't think of any good tad-puns (and that one's pretty bad) so let me just say I enjoyed this very much, Agri.

2 more votes needed to bring this parody pre-wipe tally to the original seven 555's--would someone like to add them? Thanks!
