JC SUPERSTAR PARODY-SONG #9
THE APPLE (The Temple)
RECORD COMPANY ADS:
Roll on up for the myst'ry tour
See the film by your fave fab four
Buy your ticket although it sucks
Get the album, it's worth the bucks
Roll on up for the myst'ry tour
See the film by your fave fab four
Buy your ticket although it sucks
Get the album, it's worth the bucks
They need bread for this Apple thing
Their careers are sure burning fast
Selling clothes at a hip boutique
Hurry now cause they may not last
JOHN LENNON:
This "Apple" should be a place of love
But you have made off with all our stuff
Get back! Get back!
Our time is almost done
Boy, we had some fun
After all we played for eight years
Seems like thirty
Seems like thirty
EXECUTIVES AND PRESS PEOPLE:
John, can we get an interview?
Tell us all 'bout the next big song
Are you still having words with Paul?
Do you think that the Pope is wrong?
What is the meaning of "Lucy"?
Who is this little artist Jap?
Are you promoting L.S.D.
Do you think Ringo is full of crap?
Will you talk? Won't you tell us, John?
Where's your wife and your poor son, John?
Tell us about Maharishi, John
We know you think he's a con
JOHN LENNON:
There's too many of you, don't ask me!
There's too little of me, don't hound me!
Screw yourselves!

I can see where this is all heading.....I hope there'll be some kind of resurrection-event!
I loved the ending. I had the original going in the background, as I was going through your lyrics and I can almost picture the media crowding Lennon and hounding him for questions as he moans and groans about the whole thing. Excellent! 555
