The Lyrics

Bucks men that fleece from London town,
I said, bucks men, now guilty have been found,
but these bucks men, not a one’s going down—
that’s ’cause big bankers go scot-free.

Bucks men laundered a lot of dough
for some drug men: cartels in Mexico;
their swag placed there to camouflage their crimes.
They found bankers who said, “That’s fine!”

These thugs were in place at HSBC;
other thugs sought thugs at HSBC.
High financial sins all were there to enjoy;
bankers hung out with cartel boys.

These thugs were in place at HSBC;
other thugs sought thugs at HSBC
The deals were far from clean, laundering all that weal.
Big banks do whatever they feel.

Drug men had a conspiracy. . .
all sides, thug men in a kleptocracy.
Wall Street bucks men engage likewise in schemes. . .
never pay for doing their thing.

No scam does it all by itself;
it needs thug men helping to wash the pelf;
Also going there to HSBC:
terrorist states with their money.

’cause scum was in place at HSBC;
terror scum sought scum at HSBC.
High financial sins all were there to enjoy;
bankers hung out with terror boys.

The scum were in place at HSBC;
other scum would come to HSBC.
The deals were far from clean, filthy clients and weal;
big banks do whatever they feel.

Bucks men never walk in your shoes;
likewise, thug men never pay any dues.
And thug-bucks men’s crimes will remain alive—
any “penalties” are just jive.

So there’s scum men there in HSBC,
BofA, J.P, Citi, AIG.
A few bucks in penalties they may pay. . .
low-level scapegoats tossed away.

On go funny funds at HSBC,
BofA, J.P, Citi, AIG.
Bucks men, scum men are never going down.
Thug friends’ funds men bought and own “Washing”town.

Very very funny - and I'm loving the new word you've invented too: 'kleptocracy,' that's a good 'un! I'm definitely awarding this one a 555 (and to anyone who gives this 1's... you're a BANKER!)

Great stuff, JB, with lots'a clever lines and rhymes...reading your link, it's all a bit too much, ain't it?! Now, if you don't mind, I've place your 5's in escrow with Lehman Bros—should be cool...

Always have to look when I see a bank (as in evil bank) in the title. I remember reading about the investigation, but didn't know how it ended up. I guess it was like all the bank stuff - off free with a wink and a hand slap. The parody was funny, but the reality is chilling. I put your 555 in a bank, but you're not getting any interest on it, but probably will have a fee to keep it there.

Thanks, all. Never a perp walk for Wall Street. And why isn't Linsay Lohan in jail?!

How long will HSBC be 'the world's local bank' after this? Aren't the truest things always the funniest? And yeah, all fives from me.

Inspiring JAB-555! Someday I'' write about the US companies that violated the Trading with the Enemy Act in WW2 with Germany. Companies that we still give our business to: Ford, DuPont, Chase, Alcoa, IBM... and many others. Indeed, the German Me-264 strategic Amerika bomber's list of targets was compiled from US companies' data!!!

I can always bank on a masterful deposit from you. Though high finance is way out of my zone, high parody is not. 555s.
