He came to me by midnight
I saw him coming with a scythe
that young lad with eternal wisdom on his sparkling eyes
He told me with an angel's voice
"Do not be scared, but just rejoice
I'm from the land where everyone returns whoever dies"

Aaa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aaaa....

Now I was scared of doom and Hell -
"So you must be the Azrael?
Did you come here to tell it's my time get my sentence read?"
Now he was dressed in brightest white
and when I looked his sparkling eyes
I felt I loved him and I simply no more feared the death

Aaa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aaaa....

"Poor girl, I came to comfort you
You can't yet come, your time ain't through
I'd only kill your body if I'd gave you kiss of mine
You have ahead yet many years
though you might feel like prisoner here
your soul is not yet ready to leave Earthly life behind

You have to try to carry on
You need to get your life all done
your fate is that of humankind, I can't yet take you Home
You have to walk this dale of tears
encounter sorrows, joys and fears
but in the end you'll come to Light and tears will all be gone"

Aaa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aaaa....

I asked him for one hug, no more
He laid his scythe aside on floor
I felt his body radiating love and divine grace
He said "I'll go back Father's side"
I was left all alone to night
I understand now everything when I looked in the haze

He'll come one day, I know for sure
as years go by, my life is through
I'll guess he'll give the kiss that I was left without that night
And when I'll get that kiss of Lord -
I can severe the silver cord
my soul is freed from Earth and I will go back home to Light
I cannot get me peace of mind
I yearn so much to other side
these years I'm waiting to arrive that young Lad dressed in White
