The Lyrics

I finally had to admit it. I am one.
Ever since I was a young girl, I've loved the 'monal high
from roller-coasters, diving, then swimming butterfly
And martial arts and snowboard, and soaring in the sky -
I'm mad, dumb and daft girl and now I do know why -

I've done the ocean sailing and I've jumped on parachute
I've played in band and hockey, and I never like to lose
I like the SCUBA diving and to fight Medieval style
I'm mad, dumb and daft girl, but it will make me smile

I'm adrenaline junkie, I need to get my fix
Adrenaline junkie, I want to have my kicks
Why do you think I do it? It's in my genes
Why am I such a fool?

My reason says it's dangerous - but my feelings drive me on
I know it is not different from any addicti-on
I know this thing can kill me, or maim me just for good
but I'm mad, dumb and daft girl and I am in the mood!

I know now I'm too a daredevil queen
I know this trait runs in my family!

So I like to flirt with danger where my mind gets focused on
I like my heartbeat rising and stress hormones rushing on
I know I do not panic and my mind is not a mess
this mad, dumn and daft girl - is it curse or bless?

Hmm... another life experience non-parody. Adventures in Finland? No thanks.

No thanks, I prefer Swedish honeys and Icelandic babes. Perhaps you might forget about adrenaline and concentrate on estrogen!!!

Congratulations on doing what most of us only dream of. Parachuting and sailing are skills, and demand control, not like the fool who got drunk and lit a firework on his head. Americans these days are conditioned by school and government to play it safe, often to our detriment. Security code "FUL", which I think, in Finnish, would be pronounced the same as the English word "Fool".

X, unfortunately my estrogen is strictly reserved to my husband and to my kids.

Patrick, most adrenaline addicts I know are very intelligent, quiet and even introverted people, but once they are on their own sports, they become devils on the loose. Most adrenaline addicts do not act outright insane, but they'd rather push to the envelope and hone their skills little by little, extending their mastership to the danger zone.

Adrenaline addiction may either kill or maim me in the end, but until then I want to live to the fullest - and even introduce my kids to enjoy it if they wish. It is, fortunately, a one direction way from timid to brave.
