Parody Song Title:

"Parody in the UK"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A note about the second chorus: Johnny Rotten sings an extra syllable: "I-iiiiii, I wanna beeeeee, anarchy." It is now legal in the UK to parody without permission, yet we in the US have been able to do so for twenty years now.
Trite! Pow!
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha...

I spoof on Amiright!
I am a parodist!
Don't know the real song
But I know how to spoof it
Blokes got the same rights… as the Yanks

'Cause aaaaaaaaaaam! Phig! O! Ryyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Par! O! Dy!
No permission

Parodies in the U.K.
It's legal without the red tape
We’ve had it for years here in USA
Judge found in favor of Acuff-Rose

Weird Al (had) it easy
Par! O! Dyyyy!
You can’t sue me!

(Guitar solo)

How many ways to use the same song?
They use the best
I use the rest
I use what ‘muses me
I use Parody

U.K., please feel free
Par! O! Dyyy!
Spoof and never pay a fee

Is this Weird Al Yankovic or
Is this the Bob Rivers Show
News leaked by BBC
Permission in the UK
But not! In other! countries?
Weird Al would call it anarchy

I-iiiiiii wanna beeeee
Par! O! Dyyyy!
And whoooo doesn’t liiiike
Par! O! Dyyyy!
(Oh what a name)
Briiiiiits, please feel freeee
Songs get riffed, decoyed!

The Security Code is almost a movie starring a notable song parodist. Oh well, GHF is better than nothing, lol. I just had to acknowledge that Matthias gave me the idea for the parody.

Blokes got the same rights… as the Yanks Correction, we have different rights. After all, the US legal definition is really narrow, whereas the UK legal definition is the same as that in the dictionary, but parodies can be found illegal if they're deemed to be infringing on an author's moral rights.
