Friends all tried to warn me 'bout the power spread too thin
All the time they warned me but I plugged those suckers in
They all tried to tell me that old outlets overload
I turned my back then heard something explode
Now my burning fridge is blazing up before my eyes
All the smoking milk and cheese and crisping curly fries
Extinguisher I cannot find and smoke rolls out the door

Joe offered to help me add some circuits to my wall
But I was just too lazy and I never gave a call
Microwave and radio and toaster ovens three
I plugged them in and added a TV
Now my burning fridge is causing smoke alarm to scream
All the sizzling leftovers and melting quart ice cream
Extension cords I piled up and looped above the door
Burning fridge is lost forever more
Minutes passin' - I keep watchin' flames light up the night
I look back and slam the door and think of that fridge light
I know that I've lost all my food and deposit on my rent
I guess I should have listened to my friends
Now my burning fridge is being hosed down by F.D.
All that soggy food was due to be eaten by me

Anyone that remembers this song deserves all 5's.
It was my favorite song at the time, and I bought th record when it was out! Which gives ya a clue how really really old I am! :-D

I'm reluctant to admit this, Dude, but I know this song not from Mike Curb's version, but from Donny Osmond's. (It's on his first album, called, ahem, "The Donny Osmond Album.") Great job as usual from the Hobbit Wonder Twins. "Fridge is" is an excellent sub for "bridges."
