This is dedicated to my parents who, on rare and memorable occasions, would actually allow us kids to have a food fight at home; and to my brother who, at an early age, came up with the idea for this parody.

Especially kids with attitude
It may be natural, it may be rude

When I sit down for a relaxing family meal
It could be chicken, fish in alfredo sauce
Or maybe some veal
Oh, oh at certain times I start to see
My kids are mixing potatoes, peas,
Croutons, bean dip, a can of pear halves,
And squishing it up with their bare hands
"Hey!"
Everybody plays with food, sometimes
Pay no attention to the rules---it's unsavory!
A baby's masterful at flinging spoons--I ain't lyin'!

Oo-oo-ooooo, ooooo
Oo-oo-ooooo
How can you help it when
The tunafish starts to spray?
Faced with unwillingness to reason,
You join the fray!
Oh, oh they're so surprised at Mom and me
We're tossing more than the salad greens
Lasagna flies, and when we're through
We play volleyball with cold Jell-o cubes
Hey,

You use your fork just like a tool--flickin' gravy!
Or get a spatula, that would be cool--rice is flyin'!

Blizzard 'cross the table!
