The Lyrics

There's paranoia and then there's...whatever this is...
Creepy jerks just always seem to find me
Thought that I could ward off all their wiles
Made sure my flat has been sealed up airtightly
Short of breath? I can take that for a while
Because I want to remain real lonely
But I just can't keep my refuge safe, not right
Never left my mark on any forum, cause, see
Know that folks can hack all that, but still they find
A way into my own home, somehow receivin'
Not very many ways to answer "how"
A sign that my mind's goin'? Still believin'
That they've cracked into the darkest magics now

You can't hide from scryin' eyes
Sure, you'll try, such a waste of time
I'm not mad now, just realised
The one way they can spy is scryin' eyes

This is, what, my seventh house? Process I'm hatin'
But I think it's fine and worth the whole ordeal
To try to make those guys confused, it's failin'
Cause, again, the real problem with which to deal
Is their use of dark arts, they must be wizards (ooh-ooh-ooh)
Since I've not paid for nothin' for a while (ooh-ooh)
Live off my homegrown seeds, it's good for my gizzards (ooh-ooh-ooh)
But still they have on me a robust file (ooh-ooh)?

You can't hide from scryin' eyes
Still I try just to pass the time
Not crazy now, just realised
The only way they'll spy is scryin' eyes

I know what you're thinkin', it's a good thought
Beginnin' with that wonderful word: "Why?
Come on now, why do you think you're bein' stalked?
Tell me, what made your brain go down that line?
Was it some random blog that made you crazy (ooh-ooh-ooh)?
Some long Youtube vid that made you a fool (ooh-ooh)?
Your take's not "wired", in fact, it seems quite lazy (ooh-ooh-ooh)
To freak out 'bout surveillance like a tool (ooh-ooh)"
My, oh my, you sure know how one should phrase things (ah-ah-ah)
You made your point quite well, un-carefully (ah-ah)
Ain't it funny how the "calm down, freak" phrase makes it (ah-ah-ah)
Sound like you're in on lizard wizardry (ah-ah)?

You can't hide from scryin' eyes
I'll still try 'til the end of time
I've not flipped out, just realised
That the true way to spy is scryin' eyes
Wary of "they", they spy with scryin' eyes
Buddy, don't deny those scryin' eyes

I always feel like somebody's watching meeeee...and I have no privacy, whoa-oh-oh

I don't remember seeing "scrying" in any context until this parody. One definition of scrying is "to use divination to discover hidden knowledge or future events, especially by means of a crystal ball," from dictionary dot com." It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to apply this to AI--given that our "smart" appliances are spying on us, there may be more truth than fiction in this parody!
