Song Parodies -> Cheating On The Form ( Tax Time! )
| Original Song Title: | "Riders on the Storm" |
| Original Performer: | The Doors |
| Parody Song Title: | "Cheating On The Form ( Tax Time! )" |
| Parody Written by: | Red Ant |
Ah, the joys of filing taxes! Much credit goes out to Charlie Decker who inspired me to write this parody. Again, another mostly true story about a friend of mine who didn't file for 6 years and the IRS was.....less than pleased, though fared better than this guy in this parody.
( intro )
Cheating on the form
Cheating on the form
Taxes you did alone
Out of this house you're thrown
Now a man without a home
There's nothing you will own
Cheating on the form
There's an agent on the street
He is that someone bringing heat
Avoid a felony
I can plainly see
If you tell this man a lie
You're in for a suprise
Agent on the street
No...
( instrumental )
Men you have to pay those fees
Girls you have to pay those fees
IRS will lean
After four-fifteen
Can ask help from your friends
But taxes never end
Have to pay those fees
No....
( instrumental )
Cheating on the form
Cheating on the form
That income never shown
Man you should have known
You're a man that needs a loan
But a king without a throne
Cheating on the form
Cheating on the form
Cheating on the form
Cheating on the form
Cheating on the form
( outro )

Sorry, it sounds really good, but I DKTOS, so i can't really rate it...
Thanks DAK, I didn't have this either but my mother has the original album ( maroon colored with rounded edges ). Very cool song.
Excellent job, Red Ant. I know the OS, I've parodied it too, and I can say that you've nailed it masterfully.
Excellent, Red Ant
Very good...loved the title, and great idea (especially this time of year).
Thanks everyone. PS- Charlie D., where are you? Not only did you inspire me to do this, but listen to alot of The Doors music I haven't heard in a while. :)
On this form, you're getting 5 deductions, 5 exemptions, and a 5% refund. ;)
Thanks for the shout out, Red Ant. I've been on vacation for a week, so I couldn't check the site until today. Great job! I enjoyed it a lot. Glad you're back into the Doors, too. You should get inspired by me more often ;-)
Yeah, I didn't catch your parody until about a week after it was posted, then listened to TOS, and forgot how much I like it ( then made this ). Inspired by you more often? ;-) Okay, maybe, keep up the good work ( noticed you are possible one of the top 15 best rated parodists on this site out of 400 or so ). And thank you MrMacphisto.
LOL, strange coincidence, my first beatles parody was number 1040, the same number form that alot of people use on their taxes. Maybe I should play 1040 in the Pick 4 Lottery ( of course if I one the 5k, 2k would go the the IRS. :)
Good one, Jack! 5's
Thanks Pat.
Referred here by your comment at "Taxing Time", and yes, can see you've been here, done that, nothing left but a T-shirt. Three fines, I mean fives.
Thanks Tommy Turtle.
