well, they call ol' clarence, lumpy
cause he sure is dumb
i know that none disagree
and ol' eddie is the cruel one
and he's up to no good
a big a jerk as can be
he's silly
that scamp, beaver
that scamp, beaver
well, ol' wally is his brother
and he does as he's told
gilbert is the boy that's next door
whitey is a short kid but he acts pretty bold
the fat one's larry, for sure
he's silly
that scamp, beaver
that scamp, beaver
he's silly
that scamp, beaver
that scamp, beaver
ol' ward's his daddy
he holds the reins
the facts of life, explains
ol' june's his mommy
and she eases his pain
the lady pays her dues
defusin' fears in his brain
well, miss landers keeps him happy
she's the best in the land
a teacher, good as can be
and the principal, miss rayburn
always takin' a stand
she keeps the school chaos-free
that scamp, beaver
that scamp, beaver
cause he sure is dumb
i know that none disagree

Reminds me of the episode when June told Ward he was a little too hard on the Beaver the night before - 555
thanks leo.....or when she told ward she needed to give the beaver a good bath
Alvin, did you get the idea of parodizing "Cat Scratch Fever" from my parodies of that OS? Great parody and 5s, but I thought "Leave it to Beaver" (which I saw on reruns regularly as a child) was dumb in comparison to "Newhart", "Cheers", "Seinfeld", and the other sitcoms I watched when I was growing up.
Captures the essence and spirit of that great old sitcom...
Golly, gee, Alvin, that song was neato. I wonder why Eddie was always "messing" with the beaver.
Fun to remember this show
As Wally once said while on acid..."Hey Beave...you're melting and junk..."

Sir Alvin, I Loved this ref to the Cleaver Clan !
Like Alvin, I missed the Wally on Acid episode, but IB, I'm still laughing a day later on your comment from Wally about the melting beaver; I can even visualize it - Wally did like to use "junk" a lot on the show; very funny!
