I generally don't vote if it's one I don't like from someone I usually do. Or if it's about the site. But since you asked. I noticed that when I first came on, votes were low and few. They've been going up slowly since. It helps to build rapport, a following and "respect". I assume that's what you've done and you've earned it. But if I put on a stinker, the lack of votes lets me know.
