Parody Song Title:

"Morning Mail"

Parody Written by:

Here's a nice cheerful pop ditty for ya...
I wake up every mornin', I stumble out of bed
Stretchin' and yawnin', another day ahead
My baby goes to work, and time goes slowly by
Till the mail's delivered, then it starts to fly
'Cause the moment it's delivered, time can take a flight
The moment it's delivered, everything's all right
When I hear his footsteps, I'm know that there's no doubt
My husband's a commuter, I hope he won't find out

My baby takes the morning train,
He works from nine till five and then
He takes another home again
To find me in bed with the postman

He delivers letters, but that's not all he does
It's cheating, but it gives me a buzz
My hubby, he's so busy, so he won't know
When the postman comes 'round, then I let go!

My baby takes the morning train,
He works from nine till five and then
He takes another home again
To find me in bed with the postman

When I lick a stamp now, I think of him with me
I'm crazy mad for him, not the guy who married me
Day time is the right time, we make love
Get him out before five, and shower off

My baby takes the morning train,
He works from nine till five and then
He takes another home again
To find me in bed with the postman

(repeat chorus & fade)

Hey, nice parody of my song. However, it was originally released in the 80s, not the 70s.

Oops! You're right of course, it was 1981. In the '70s, Sheena was a Punk Rocker!

Very funny--you've managed to turn the original about the faithful wife into the exact opposite. Don't know why someone gave you 1's...I give you 5's!

Pretty Good, Mason- not quite "there" all the time, but flashes of genius, like the stamp line.
