Parody Song Title:

"Kittycat's Rhapsody (For cat lovers!)"

Parody Written by:

Mikey Squirrel

Do I have nine lives? Or am I just finicky?
Claws in the curtains, and I can't seem to get them free
Open the can, feed me from your hand, you'll see
I'm just a cute cat, I need a belly rub
Because I'll do a hiss, then a purr, little nose, lots of fur
Anyway my fur sheds, all over the carpet, it's me, meow
Daddy, just killed a bird, dragged his carcass in the house, just like I did with that mouse
Daddy, I did it out of love, but now there's feathers all over the hallway
Daddy, meee-ow, didn't mean to make you mad
If you give me some attention I will love you
Feed me now, feed me now, and don't forget my water
Too late, the fleas have come, I can't tell if they were mine, but I'm scratching all the time
Now I, need a collar, for fleas and ticks, with a name tag and a bell hanging off of it
Daddy, meee-ow (anyway my fur sheds)
I don't want a bath, sometimes wish I never had fleas at all
I smell a litter box full of clumping sand
Kittypoop, kittypoop, will you scoop it out right now?
Thunderbolts and vacuums, really, really scaring me
Tender Vittles (Tender Vittles) Tender Vittles (Tender Vittles) Tender Vittles, Purina
Meow Mix I'm just a cute cat, you can't help but love me
He's just a cute cat who's really cuddly, he needs some love and he needs it constantly
First I purr, then meow, will you feed me now? Go away, no! I will not feed you now
(Feed me now) Go away, I will not feed you now
(Feed me now) Go away, I will not feed you now
(Feed me now) I will not feed you now (Feed me now) I will not feed you now
(Feed me now) Never, never, never, never (Feed me now)
No, no, no, no, no, bad cat, no!
Oh, Daddy will ya, daddy will ya, Daddy will ya feed me now
I know for sure there's a package full of treats for me, for me, me-ow
So you think you can pet me by scratching my ear
Then you think you can take me to that vet that I fear
Anybody, pay attention to me anybody, just won't get off, I won't get right off the stairs
I am really frisky, everyone can see, I am very frisky, I am way too frisky, that's me
Anyway my fur sheds

Incredibly done parody of one of my favorite songs. I shake your paw and give it 5s across the board.

354- Pacing could've been better....but it was just so darn cute....and has alot of great lines. Well done and very creative!
Adagio - May 21, 2005 - Report this comment
Very funny and pacing was good. You could make it look more like songs with individual sentences and paragraphs. Still, very funny!

Whatcha mean, "pacing could've been better?" Pacing was good and text was hilarious, heed Adagio's advice, though. 555.

You know, your right, Adagio! I just re-read it, and today the pacing worked perfectly. I must've been distracted the first time I read it. Sorry, Mikey- I should've given it straight 5's.

This was cute. You did match the lyrics near perfect, which makes for the humor . I could see a kitty from the 'Mutts' comic strip singing this. 555

Cute but, how is it that all of your parodies have 3 or 4 times as many five votes as they do comments???? Tell me, do you have access to a large number of computers?
Mikey Squirrel - July 23, 2005 - Report this comment
I know what your implying, and the answer is no. Why would I do that? I've seen lots of parodies with more votes than comments in here. I rather hear comments about my parody than why they got alot of votes...

The format was horrible, but the parody was good.

(ABC3) Oh, the cat came back, she didn't want to roam...

(K) I know I've read this before because I could have sworn I left a comment about the pacing being a lot better than a 3, and that this was cute and funny, and an original BoRap idea, which are hard to come by these days. You've come a long way format-wise since this was written, Mikey.

cataleptic, cataleptic, cataleptic, grab a clue.

I think the best on this comp was left for last. Extremely well execution of BR parody. I would proudly sign my name to this - wish I'd have thought of it. BR is one of my favorites to write and you seem to know all of my tricks and having a pet in the parody is a BIG plus!. Love it! Mikey - This is by far the best I've seen you write.

(ABC4K) I started thinking what a great idea but it would be very hard to sustain, but you did it Mikey - excellent stuff and great invention for the tricky borap subs- 555

(ABCK) Mikey, I think you really should check your formatting. . .it paced perfectly but I had to listen twice to see that because I got lost the way you formatted it. Very well done as a write, and your rhyme scheme was great, but this parody is not formatted as a lyric sheet which made it difficult to read, still among the better parodies in this round, good job.
Cat - January 23, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC) This one *mrrrooow!* kinda hit close to home! Even though a BoRhap isn't meant for block format (I can see how you improved), great job describing a day in the life...it isn't all lounging about!

Thank you everyone for the positive comments. I do apologize for the awful formatting, this was submitted in my earlier days, before I learned the magic of proper formatting and chorus variation. had I done this one today, I would have done it proper.
