Tonight I'm gonna hold my snake
And let it crawl around
It's better than cooking Shake n Bake
At least it makes no sounds

Wraps around my arm
Refusing to unwind

Just when I think I need a dog
It sits right in my hands
It flashes me that reptile smile
And we both understand

I threw a mouse in my serpent's house
It sniffed around the cage
& then at once my python struck
In swift primevil rage

The hapless mouse was snatched into
A slowly squeezing coil
Its lungs collapsed, its heartbeat stopped
Then my snake began to roil

It slithered round to find the mouse's head
Its mouth stretched open wide
The mammal soon was entirely engulfed
& broken down by digestive enzymes

Just when I think I need a cat
It sits right in my lap
It looks at me with those emerald eyes
We're happy just like that!!
