The Lyrics

A bit of explanation needed... the following is from an email conversation I had aeons ago, but it sat in my "to do" list for ages:"Moving on to how the British made the French vote non, of course only the looniest elements see it like that. There is, however, a form of pseudo logic that can even effect normal people who aren't paying attention. It involves mentioning two unconnected events together with such frequency that the listener begins to see cause and effect where there is none. Just say 911 and Iraq or constitution européene and système free trade britannique, and folk will just make the link. But that's not all. The really scary thing is that if you question folk about the erroneousness of their logic you find you have no argument for they will freely admit the lack of causality. It appears that consciously their logic works OK but behind the scenes their subconscious - the thing that really drives them - tells them otherwise. I think someone should study this. Or at least write a song about it."(Minor pacing note: in the OS, "comfortably" is sung with three syllables, even though it has four; I'm afraid the same vocal trick is needed here, and swallowing the "sub-" makes it scan)
Hello? (Hello, hello)
Is there any logic in there?
It's odd, your train of thinking
Is there anyone at home?

Come on, now
You hear what's going down:
Saying that Hussain
Linked to 9/11... again

Think back, (and back, and back)
Consider information, first
Check the basic facts
Come on, try to stay alert

There is no sign of rhyme nor reason
What makes this shit seem oh, so suprising
You are just repeating what you hear
Your lips move, your mind ain't even in gear
Thinking like a child, more like a pizza
The thought process level of a baboon
Now repeat that "feeling" once again
And please explain
Connections that they planned
Do you not understand?
A-a-and all along: subconsciously wrong

OK (OK OK)
Did I hear your brain click?
I hear you say "Ah"
But you may feel bit of a prick
A mental hand up (hand up, hand up)
The brain has started working, good
Are you gonna tell me what you know
'Bout Blair and Bush and co.

There is no gain when you're unthinking
They get away with manipulation
Consider what is coming through the waves
When people don't think 'bout all that they say
When I was a child, my thoughts were fleeting things
I couldn't read between the lines
I learned to look before too long
And I found that I was wrong, but now
This child is grown
Their scheming gone
And all along: subconsciously wrong

masterfully written

I think we should just let nature take its corse. The US and England need new bildings and the tearists are providing new jobs in the bilding trades .
