Song Parodies -> Tio Alberto - General Petraeus
| Original Song Title: | "Uncle Albert - Admiral Halsey" |
| Original Performer: | Paul McCartney |
| Parody Song Title: | "Tio Alberto - General Petraeus" |
| Parody Written by: | Michael Pacholek |
So Paul thinks he's the real "Smart Beatle," breaks up the group, puts his wife in the band (isn't that what his groupies hated Yoko for?), and makes a big deal of going solo, and gives the world... "Another Day"? And then "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey"? Never mind "How Do You Sleep At Night"; I think he was asleep, or toking a little too much, during the day. But that's an understandable excuse. What's Bush's excuse? Gonzales' excuse? Petraeus' excuse?
We're so sorry, Tio Alberto.
We're so sorry that you caused us so much pain.
We're so sorry, Tio Alberto.
But there's no one left at home
though the lights are on again.
We're so sorry, but you've broken lots of laws all day.
We're so sorry, Tio Alberto.
But if anything should happen
we won't blame you for a thing.
(sound effects like Alberto Gonzales
drowning in the hot water he's in)
We're so sorry
Tio Alberto.
But you've done the work of Dubya Bush all day.
We're so sorry
Tio Alberto.
But our tempers at a boil
and now you must go far away.
(instrumental break)
Blood across the water, water!
Heads are gonna lie!
Blood across the water, water!
Heads are gonna lie!
General Petraeus notified me
he had to have a surge or we'd have no victory.
We have three thousand dead since March of two thousand three
and some more will die.
"Couldn't vote for something else
so some more are gonna die, alright!"
Blood across the water, water!
Heads are gonna lie!
Blood across the water, water!
Heads are gonna lie!
Live no more, so be so tipsy, going down.
Put another soldier in the ground.
Live no more, going down.
Live no more, so be so tipsy, going down.
Put another soldier in the ground.
Live no more, going down.
(instrumental break)
Blood across the water, water!
Heads are gonna lie!
Blood across the water, water!
Heads are gonna lie!

WHOA!
flat out brilliant
Top job, here
I sang
Thanks, Agri, Alvin, AFW and Ann. Wow, I'm getting all A's on this one. Well, maybe metaphorically. I had a feeling this would tick a few people off, but how many of them ever tell me why they hated it? And how many of those post under their real names? Cowards, you'd never make it in Petraeus' army -- no matter how desperate he is for fresh meat, I mean new recruits.
