Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Free and Fine"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

to Christopher Reeve
Now you're free and fine
Do you know what it is you did for me?
You shone, near and far
Now you're out on another star

Here we are, learning things in life's school
Now you're nearer to God,
That is cool
But you showed to us bravery
Like a grown-up man, bravery
And the thought goes through me

You helped free my mind
Cause you showed me some things that love's made of
Hanging on so strong
For the ones that you loved, so long

Hope you fly--
You are now in the sky
How can I
Learn to hold on like you did?

You were quite a friend
Though I never knew you
Cause you showed us some love
Now you are
Free and fine
Free and fine

Amen. God bless dear Christopher Reeve...he chose life, love, and courage, and this world is the better for his having been in it.

I doubt if he's "nearer to God"--from what I've read about him over the years, he was an athiest.

But that doesn't mean that God won't remember him. 5's for a very meaningful tribute.

Great comment, 2Eagle. Imagine a loving father being reunited with a son who lived his whole life mistakenly thinking his father was dead...and imagine that son's joy at meeting the father he thought he'd never meet.
