Not saying I agree with your politics but I think you wrote a good parody.
You left out the most competent candidate - Tom McClintock - I know, not an easy name to rhyme and/or pace - but very good parody.

Songs about the California recall are totally inappropriate, so I can give this no better than 5's.
nice try, but Cruz didn't win, Bush's tax cuts will not do us in, and i doubt Gray's California skies are all that blue
I remember when I was faced with a choice between two bad candidates in California back in 1986. I chose to leave the state. Anybody remember George Deukmejian? I didn't think so.
