Those innately who's pure and the bitter behold,
There's no buying a stairway to heaven.
And each seed that each grows to the Lord is exposed.
In the Word some forget what He came for.

Woe oh oh oh oh oh
There's no buying a stairway to heaven

Though the blind make he fall, he's not cast down be sure,
So ye sow unkind words 'til the gleaning.
The bay tree great the look, neither song Word does sing,
End times all of what's wrought, not forgiven.

Woe oh oh oh oh oh
No denying what's in Psalm Thirty Seven

If it's fearing you get, in the Lord take ye rest,
Holy Spirit's applying believing.
Those who sought evil means, brings the choke of disease,
It's the choices of those damned He's looking.

Woe oh oh oh oh oh
There's no buying a stairway to heaven

They'll be withered real soon; judgment will come high noon,
Say the Scriber thou deeds art thy reason.
And for they who have drawn their sword won't stand long,
On the poorest, will be woe thereafter.

He will put asunder

There's cast now bristles where the hedge grow,
Thou hast been warned now.
And so the meeklings have their regime.
Yea there art two paths you can go by,
There is a wide one,
Thou will is thyne to choose the road you're on.

Judgment is coming do not fret so, His laws they don't know,
The viper falleth now rejoice in.
Almighty cannot bear of sin sow and will bring woe,
Praise Yahweh high no more withering sin.

And as the blind one's seed is sowed,
In shadows taken are their souls,
Walk with Almighty 'cause we know,
Who shines bright light on evil foe,
And all the streets are paved with gold,
Although our armor may be charred,
They soon will come to be outcast,
When all is won the Son will call,
He is my rock and holds my soul.

Those innately who's pure and the bitter behold,
There's no buying a stairway to heaven.
And each seed that each grows to the Lord is exposed.
In the Word some forget what He came for.

Woe oh oh oh oh oh
No denying what's in Psalm Thirty Seven

beautifully written, and unlike the OS, this makes sense

This is now my favorite StH parody of all time. Absolutely amazing (grace).

Personally entirely unreligious, I endorse any concept/realization of "religious freedom" that neither prescribes the practice/expression of any particular one nor proscribes the practice/expression of none at all. Your well-crafted pastiche secures secular triple handful.

Very well written, Guy. I must confess, I'm not sure what Psalm 37 is.

IB: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+37 But before I sought guidance, I confess I thought it might be Exzekial 25:17:-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmvnXKRfdb8 (:))

Guy, in the midst of all of this frivolity, thank you for reminding us what is important.

Everyones comments have been well received by this author. There are 150 Psalms in the Bible and this by far is my favorite even to surpass the best known and most popular 23rd Psalm. The 37th Psalm has provided me with much comfort during some of the darkest and most painful periods of my life. It promises reckoning for those who were wronged in a devine way. It brings comfort tto those who have had wrongs inflicted upon them that atonement will at some time be awarded. When I had extreme loathing for such people it taught me to back off and put it into the Hands of the Father and free myself of the destructive forces that owned me. This was a parody that was written from deep within my heart.. I am happy to share it with the world in published form.

I am looking and appealing to anyone who has musical ability to record my parody so I may have it in a recorded form on my website. If anyone is interested in doing this please contact the site email address at ourheartsandsouls@yahoo.com or reply via the comment section on this page.

Thanks to all of you who viewed and/or commented. God Bless.

Guy, I think you did a great job of this; when everything else fades away, God's grace remains.

Thank you Royce - You have so succinctly put this entire Psalm into one sentence. And having heard your recorded singing voice, I could think of no other who could do this parody justice on my website. If any of you have never heard Royce sing you would wonder why she is not on an MCA or Capitol label and I exagerate not one iota. She would be a contender on "Idol".

God Bless Royce. I just know you will be back out here when things get better for you.

Amen to your tribute to Psalm 37 and amen to your response to Royce's comment.

I tripped over this parody doing research on subject Good Friday, which happens to be what today is. Indeed, Psalm 37 tells it as it truly is. In these dark times that we live in, I feel its relevence to the world today.

I read this parody and immediately consulted the Bible for Psalm 37 and I believe that this parody is spot on and appropriate. I have been in a dark place for awhile now and I thank the author of this parody for bringing comfort to me, especially on this most holy day.

I have had suicide ideation during this dark period of my life, so when I get the ideation urge again I shall remember this parody to keep me from slipping over the edge.

Barabbas turned his life around and became a Christian sometime after Pontius Pilate washed his hands of the whole affair asking the crowd who they wanted crucified; The crowd chose Jesus over Barabbas which made it possible for all of mankind to be spared from eternal damnation in hell.

I think I was meant to find this, a God wink of sorts. I think this has saved my life from destruction by my own hand. I give a huge Amen to this work.

Thanks and God Bless!
