The year 2000 vote messed up..and Broward Was The County
For absentees, ballots were late..suspected voter fraud
Some touch machines proved faulty,..and failed in many precincts
As backwards votes were counted..in a system that was flawed

Just a mere five hundred plus..put "Dubya" in the white house
All took place in Flor'da..where his brother was the "Gov"
An innocent mistake? Could be,..coincidences happen
Seems a little shady,..more like brotherly love...

Mom's favorite son...got to do the wrong he's done
Messin' up the whole world with his plan
Double-U Em-Dee he lacked,..still he marched into Iraq
A bad attack not many understand:
Son of a Bush brought shame upon our land..

There's a place for everyone,..but Washington is not his
For Old Pa, I guess he tried..to prove he was a man
As Governor of Texas,..he seemed to find his callin'
Could not do enough harm there,...so, for President, he ran

Bush and Cheney wanted war,..the record shows they're lyin'
They ignored the CIA..and others in the clan
They sold their pig to Congress,..and Colin Powell kept buyin'
Still peddlin' his evil goods,...now he teases Iran

The war just worsens every day...and we hear the same old speeches
Polls reflect approval lows, no President has shown
Each day more bombs explode and kill, while "Stay The Course" he preaches
Jimmy Carter says, "Worse President that the world has ever known"

Hist'ry could be diff'rent now.. if Gore had been the winner
Katherine Harris held the key that would have changed it all
But she refused to certify recounts in Broward County
That might have tipped the balance, in a race too close to call...
(And so now we say...)
