The Lyrics

Just went to Braves Spring Training at Disney and that gave me this idea. Wanted to include as many core characters as I could think of.
Well Mickey pitches and trips over, the mound's too high today
The rosin bag was just in the wrong place
Goofy's roundin' third then heads back to first, he's a confused funny dog
And then Donald jumps over the wall today

Oh, it's just so weird, the characters play today
What happened here, why do we see them today
Where's the Braves, it's the big Disney Field

Well then Pluto comes and poops on the field and Minnie cleans it up
And then she bunts the ball and goes sliding way past first
And then there's Daisy in right field, she runs into the wall
She says, "oh that's there?" audience feelin' cursed

Oh, where are the Braves, I thought they would play today
It's a mistake, we see cartoons play today
Look out there, it's the big Disney Field

Got a brand new mug, a red baseball, and food and drinks galore
You know I thought that I would soon see the Braves team
Cartoons came alive, to the field they dive, it's a surreal moment
We know it's the wrong team, cheer anyway, scream

Didn't see the Braves, but had a fun time today
Maybe the Braves already played yesterday
Look at it, weird ain't it

Oh I'll see the Braves if I go here once again
Or I'll complain, bad advertising, my friend
It's sublime, it's the big Disney Field
Weird!

You have a most "unique" imagination, Phil! ;)

Which day were you there? I took in Saturday's game. Sure, Donald came out for the ceremonial first pitch, but that's all I saw ...
Old Man Ribber - March 15, 2010 - Report this comment
A Grand Slam! Mickey could actually be Mantle, Donald could be Drysdale, Minnie could be Minoso, and George Sreinbrenner is definitely Goofy! Extremely well done. ;D
