To Philip my censure
Don’t delight in that Morris
Spike, he now you must decline
Ike’s a gawky young crane
Strike off Norm, he’s so desp’rate
Mike’s of creepy devotions
Lou, you should dispense with
Not thrilled to see Len

None, pet, shall love you
Let me give advice to you
Be no nows and no afters
Please deny them your charms
May not lay down astride you
Least of all may they kiss you
Ev’nif they get you
As bombed as Phnom Penh

Don’t let down defenses
Don’t invite an explorance
Keep your knees tight together
Don’t be tunnel to train
He’ll not unwrap your presents
Be no up and down motion
Just keep to your senses
Shun thrills once again…

Almost anything is an improvement on most of the John Denver oeuvre, but this is most amusin', and, as always, perfectly paced.

good advice....beware of gifts and trojans bearing horses...or something like that

Good stuff to which I can relate. I never thought any male was good enough for my 2 daughters, but I ultimately broke down and gave both of them away in marriage. Before that happened, I tried to say everything that this song says, but there is only so much a father can do.

~JJ~ liked my xHusband, the rancher's Son, but during his illness, he told me that it was CowboyDave, who he hoped would marry me . . . Life has its strange twists & turns of events, Sir !

Oh to be 18 again - but know what I know now at 44! :) Love the dad perspective, great job!
