Song Parodies -> You Are So Powerful (Thome)
| Original Song Title: | "You Are So Beautiful (To Me)" |
| Original Performer: | Joe Cocker |
| Parody Song Title: | "You Are So Powerful (Thome)" |
| Parody Written by: | Michael Pacholek |
A most un-Cocker-like song, but he nailed it. Speaking of nailing it, active baseball players with at least 500 career home runs include Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro. Ken Griffey Jr. and Fred McGriff are knocking on the door. Also between 400 and 500 are Juan Gonzalez, Frank Thomas and Jeff Bagwell. And, today, Jim Thome cranked Number 400. Certainly, he'll have 500 before he's done. This is a companion piece (Aw, jeez, another shameless plug) to "Bring 'Em On Home, Thome."
You are so powerful, Thome.
You are so powerful, Thome.
On TV.
The high fastball you swing for.
You give the runs we need.
You are so powerful, Thome.
You are so powerful, Thome.
You are so powerful, Thome.
In Philly.
You hit those long round-trippers.
The pitcher's brain will bleed.
You are so powerful
Thome!
Ah!
Thome!
Ah!
