The Lyrics

This is the story of the bear who drank some Budweiser!

Owl cracked open a cool one whilst no one was watching. Resting at the zoo that day,
we were surprised when suddenly a kangaroo ran close by. Now this may not
seem strange, but when we overheard Kangaroo whisper to no one in
particular, "The bear just drank his Budweiser," well, we began to wonder.
Presently, the sun appeared from behind a cloud and there, lying on the grass
was Bear. In the beer stream that flowed by the grass a newt, and sitting astride a
can of a Busch, a bee. Ostensibly motionless, the bear was trembling while intoxicated, for he drank Owl’s Budweiser and was completely plastered. We were like, “Where was his Budweiser? Could someone have stolen it? Had he mislaid it? What was he to do?”
Bee wanted to help, and thinking he had the answer began: "Bear probably drank it thinking it was some honey."
"No!" interrupted Owl, who was wise. "I have drunk Bud Light, Busch Light, and Coors Light. How could an intelligent bear drink such a silly brew?" But all this time, Owl had been sitting on the fence scowling! Kangaroo were hopping mad at this sort of talk. She thought herself far superior in beer drinking to the others. She was their leader, their guru. She had the answer, "Dude, you must go in search of the detox."
But then she realized that Bear was completely plastered from that Budweiser.
And so, Kangaroo loudly proclaimed, "I can't send Bear in search of anything!"
"The bear wants another can!" shouted Newt. "He can share it with Owl." But Owl
had gone to sleep. Newt drank too much to be stopped by so small a problem,
"You can take him in your pouch." But alas, Bear was much too big to fit into
Kangaroo's pouch. All this time, it had been quite plain to Bear that the animals
knew nothing about Bud-a-weiser. As for all their tempting ideas, well Bear didn't care. The lost Budweiser made a drunken bear. And after all, Bear did have a spare beer, a beer
